Army shooters Lakshita Bishnoi and Sharvan Kumar delivered a composed and authoritative performance to claim the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team gold medal at the 68th National Shooting Championship Competitions, underway at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range.
The Army duo defeated Haryana’s Suruchi Singh and Samrat Rana 16-10 in the gold medal match to seal the title. Earlier, Lakshita (290-12x) and Sharvan (292-9x) topped the qualification round with a combined score of 582-21x, finishing ahead of Haryana, who also shot 582 but with fewer inner-10s (582-14x). Suruchi led Haryana’s effort with 293-8x, while Samrat contributed 289-6x.

Rajasthan finished third in qualification with 576-21x through Anjali Shekhawat (288-11x) and Amit Sharma (288-10x), followed closely by Railways on 576-20x, courtesy Sakshi Anil Suryavanshi’s 289-8x and Saurabh Chaudhary’s 287-12x.
In the senior mixed team bronze medal match, Rajasthan’s Anjali Shekhawat and Amit Sharma edged past Railways’ Sakshi Anil Suryavanshi and Saurabh Chaudhary 17–13 to secure the bronze.
The Junior Mixed Team gold medal went to Karnataka, where Jonathan Gavin Antony and Avanthika Madhu produced a controlled display to defeat Haryana’s Kapil Bainsla and Palak Gulia 17–11 in the final. Madhya Pradesh claimed the junior bronze, with Aaradhya Mishra and Yugpratap Singh Rathore registering a dominant 16–2 win over Uttarakhand’s Abhinav Deshwal and Yashsavi Joshi.
In the junior qualification round, Haryana topped the standings with 580-21x, led by Palak Gulia’s 292-10x and Kapil Bainsla’s 288-11x. Karnataka matched the total on 580 but finished second on inner-10 count, with Jonathan Gavin Antony shooting 292-8x and Avanthika Madhu adding 288-8x. Uttarakhand placed third with 579-21x, while Madhya Pradesh completed the top four with 574-13x.
The youth mixed team event saw Madhya Pradesh continue their strong showing, as Aaradhya Mishra and Yugpratap Singh Rathore clinched gold with a convincing 16–8 victory over Karnataka’s Gamberya V Gowda and Darren K Dawn. Army picked up the bronze medal in the category, with Himanshi Jangra and Pawan Mandiwal defeating Uttar Pradesh’s Chirag Sharma and Urva Chaudhary 16–12.
