NCP MLA Amol Mitkari claimed here on Friday that the statement of senior Congress leader and Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan that a Marathi man could become the Prime Minister, due to the fall out of revelations of the Jeffrey Epstein files, should be taken “very seriously”.

“The statement cannot be taken lightly. An Ajit ‘Parv’ (era) will arrive in Maharashtra soon. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has been working as an energetic minister in the Mahayuti government for the past year. The concept of the Laadki Bahin Yojana was Ajit Dada’s and he also implemented it. Due to this, the Mahayuti won the assembly elections,” NCP MLA Amol Mitkari said.

“Ajit Pawar is a hard working leader. He is never angry or upset with the government. The opposition accuses him yet Ajit Pawar works without being disturbed at all. He continues to work among the people, serves the people and strengthens the grand Mahayuti alliance. Look closely at Ajitdada. He has never expressed anger.

“He has never been aggressive anywhere. Ajit Dada has continued to do his work peacefully during this period. Dada’s work is appealing to the people,” Ajit Pawar-led NCP MLA Amol Mitkari said.

However, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis dismissed any possibility of change in the Prime Minister’s leadership, reacting to the statement made by senior Congress leader and Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan’s statement a couple of days ago.

“Modi’s health is excellent. Even a 40-year-old would be ashamed to compare himself with Modi’s health. Prithviraj Baba has such dreams, but remember one thing–our country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is doing an excellent job. The country has immense love for him. No one can run the country the way he does.

“Therefore, we should remember that Modi will be the Prime Minister in 2029 as well,” Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said.

It may be recalled that on Monday senior Congress leader and former Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan had stated that if the names mentioned in client list of American financier and paedophile sex trafficker Jaffrey Epstein becomes public, it could cause a political earthquake in India, due to which a “Marathi man” might become the Prime Minister of India.

Tweeting about the matter on his X handle, Chavan had even tagged the official X handles of the Maharashtra Congress, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

“If the information in the ‘Epstein Files’ currently circulating in America comes out, it could cause a major earthquake in Indian politics. In this political upheaval, we may see a Marathi man become the Prime Minister of the country by next month,” Chavan tweeted on X.

However, when media persons asked Chavan about “Which Marathi man could become the Prime Minister during a press conference at Karad,” Chavan kept the suspense alive by saying nothing more than, “You find out now”.

Chavan said that the Epstein Files issue is of global significance. “A big businessman in America called Jeffrey Epstein did a lot of illegal activities. It is an issue which involves the leaders of all political parties and he made them do questionable things. The names of all big political leaders have come up in America. President Trump’s name is also in the list. Therefore, Trump may have to resign. The Election Commission has very strict criteria there,” Chavan said.

“The US Congress is after Trump. It is asking for the names to be revealed but Trump is not doing so because too many very high profile people will get into trouble. The US Congress has been after Trump for six months and 10,000 documents have been seized. Information in these documents could be revealed,” Chavan said.

According to Chavan, US President Donald Trump has signed the ‘Epstein Files Transparency Act’. After this, the Justice Department will now have to release all files and information related to the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s sex crimes and his death in prison in 2019, within 30 days, Chavan said.
