The reopening of the Delhi Zoo on Saturday after nearly two months of closure drew an enthusiastic response from citizens who ventured out despite the dipping air quality and falling temperatures in the city.

Families, along with young children, flocked to the zoo to catch a glimpse of the zoo’s wildlife wearing face masks and winter gear braving pollution and chilly weather.

Excited visitors gathered around the “I Love Delhi Zoo” installation, capturing photos and making memories of their long-awaited visit.

Offering ease of convenience to the visitors, the National Zoological Park introduced an all-new ‘Insta Ticket Booking Service’, enabling instant purchases and preventing the hassle of standing in long queues. It was an additional service that could be availed, besides the regular online booking option available through the zoo’s website

“With the new system, visitors can scan a QR code displayed at the entry gate and book their entry tickets instantly within seconds. The payment process is quick and user-friendly — visitors can pay using any UPI applications such as PhonePe, Paytm, Google Pay, BHIM or pay through debit cards, credit cards, or net banking,” an official document stated.

The adoption of the new system is aimed at ensuring a time-saving, seamless, and hassle-free entry process for all visitors.

Meanwhile, at the spot visit, long queues of school children and the residents were seen at the entry gates waiting for their turn to enter the premises.
