Yogi emphasised that, in addition to completing all tap connections by the stipulated date, a third-party audit must also be conducted to ensure quality and transparency. He directed that Phase 2 and Phase 3 projects, which are currently about 90% complete, be finalized by December 15, maintaining the same pace as Phase 1.

He further instructed that the remaining works — currently 75% complete — be fully completed by March 2026.

Reiterating his government’s commitment, he said providing safe drinking water to every household is a top priority of the state. This initiative, he added, is not merely a water supply scheme, but a mission directly linked to public health, women’s dignity, and the overall quality of rural life. He made it clear that any compromise on quality or timelines will not be tolerated, and assured that adequate funds will be made available at every level.

During the meeting, the chief minister held direct discussions with representatives from NCC Limited, Larsen & Toubro, Megha Engineering, PNC Infratech, IC Infra, Power Mac, and Kalpataru Projects. He inquired about the challenges faced in field operations. He reviewed issues such as quality of work, pending tasks, outstanding dues, and payment timelines, directing all agencies to adhere to deadlines and quality benchmarks strictly.

Officials informed that projects worth ₹90,223 crore are currently being implemented across the state, including 63 surface water-based and 548 groundwater-based schemes. So far, tap water connections have been provided to over 1.98 crore rural households across 85,364 villages, with regular water supply now reaching 34,274 villages.

The meeting was also informed that the Central government is considering a proposal to extend the Jal Jeevan Mission till December 2028 and to revise project costs. The chief minister assured that the state government will continue its efforts using its own resources, ensuring that the benefits of the scheme reach the people on time.

Additionally, it was reported that Central Government nodal officers inspected 147 schemes across 74 districts, of which 132 were found satisfactory. The state’s grievance redressal portal, https://jalsamadhan.in, has recorded over 13.5 crore visits, with 62,688 complaints received—of which 46,354 have been resolved. Complaints are also being registered through the toll-free number 1800-121-2164. The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure timely and satisfactory redressal of all grievances.
