Director Jayan Nambiar’s much-anticipated action film ‘Vilaayath Buddha’ has finally given fans a first glimpse of its world, as the teaser, released on Thursday, promises a gripping entertainer with Prithviraj Sukumaran in a bold and playful avatar.

The actor himself unveiled the teaser on his social media handles, wishing his followers a “Happy Vijayadashami” and sharing the link in multiple languages.

The teaser begins with a conversation between two police officers about a notorious figure named “Double,” whose real name is Mohan.

One officer describes him as the key player in sandalwood smuggling, comparing him to a “Kutty Veerappan”.

From there, the teaser dives into the life of Double Mohan. Played by Prithviraj, the character comes across as fearless, cheeky, and confident enough to stand up even against the police. In one witty moment, a cop taunts him by asking, “Who do you think you are, Pushpa?”

Mohan coolly replies, “He’s international, I’m just local.”

‘Vilaayath Buddha’ is produced by Sandip Senan and A V Anoop, with the script written by G R Indugopan and Rajesh Pinnadan. The technical crew brings together some of the best names in the industry. Arvind S Kashyap and Renadive handle cinematography, while Sreejith Sarang manages editing. Music comes from Jakes Bejoy.

The art direction is by Jithu Sebastian. The stunts design credit goes to by a team of experts: Rajasekhar, Kalai Kingson, Supreme Sundar, and Mahesh Mathew.
