Amid the ongoing festivities, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the city is buzzing with cultural celebrations, with Ramleelas being staged across Delhi alongside Durga Puja, Dandiya, and Garba events.
Gupta said that festivals like Onam were celebrated earlier this season, and that the South Indian flower festival Bathukamma is adding its own special charm to the ongoing festivities.

The CM said that it is heart-warming to see young people celebrate the festivities with such energy and that attending these events makes her happy.
The CM participated in various cultural celebrations on Saturday night as well, even though she has been attending Ramleelas daily to offer prayers to Lord Ram.
The CM also joined two events at the Delhi University campus, including a Dandiya and Garba night at the Rugby Ground and the Bathukamma festival at Ramjas College.
Gupta said this is the first time festivals from other states are being celebrated in Delhi with such enthusiasm, and that youth participation is making the events stand out.
She also praised Culture and Language Minister Kapil Mishra for his efforts to promote the celebrations across the city.
The CM said that DU has always hosted unique programmes, but festivals rooted in the traditions of other states have never been celebrated here in this way before.
Gupta was delighted to celebrate Bathukamma, known for its flowers, colours, and community spirit, with thousands of students from Telangana studying in Delhi.
She described it as a festival that brings new energy and positivity into life and congratulated everyone from Telangana, adding warmly, “You are part of Delhi. The CM standing here is like your own elder sister.”
The CM also recalled her recent participation in the Onam festival and said that more such celebrations would be held in the coming days.
She noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, a new era of cultural renaissance has begun, bringing together the traditions and festivals of diverse states under the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.
She said that Delhi is now emerging as a capital of culture alongside development, with the growing involvement of young people showing deep respect for Indian traditions.
