In the accident on NH, which comes under Balanga Police Station jurisdiction in Koida block, several people are still trapped in the ill-fated bus that was carrying around 60 passengers. Teams of fire brigade stations and police personnel rushed to the spot to rescue the passengers trapped inside the badly-mangled bus.

Both the four-wheelers were running at a breakneck speed, and that might have led to the fatal crash, police said, adding that around 30 injured, most of them critically, have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
