The Vaishno Devi Yatra will resume on 17 September, after remaining suspended since 26 August when 35 pilgrims lost their lives in a massive landslide on the pilgrimage route.
In a post on X this evening, the Shrine Board announced, “The yatra will resume from Wednesday, subject to favourable weather conditions.”

It also advised devotees to stay updated through official communication channels.

The yatra was earlier scheduled to resume on 14 September, but was postponed due to heavy rains in the region.
