He never played a character. He never appeared on screen. He just opened his mouth, and suddenly, a cartoon world felt completely real. That was the quiet magic of Peabo Bryson.

Disney has officially unveiled the brand-new poster and trailers of ‘TRON: Ares’, the third film in the cult-favourite ‘TRON’ franchise. The movie is going to release in India on October 10, 2025, and will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
This brand new chapter comes after the original ‘TRON’ (1982) and ‘TRON: Legacy (2010). Both of them redefined the science fiction genre.

Adding to the excitement, the film will also feature a brand-new track by Grammy Award-winning band Nine Inch Nails, titled “As Alive As You Need Me To Be”.
‘TRON: Ares’ has a powerful line-up. The film is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Jared Leto as Ares. The cast also includes Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, Gillian Anderson, and the legendary Jeff Bridges.
Behind the scenes, the film has backing of producers Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Jared Leto, Emma Ludbrook, and Steven Lisberger, with Russell Allen as executive producer.
The journey of ‘TRON: Ares’ has been years in the making. Back in 2017, there was talk of a reboot with Jared Leto playing a new character named Ares. In 2020, Garth Davis was attached to direct, but the project went through several changes.
By early 2023, Joachim Rønning stepped in as director, and more star names like Evan Peters, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cameron Monaghan, and Gillian Anderson joined the cast.
Interestingly, the makers at one point considered adding an AI-generated character to the story. The idea was dropped before filming, as debates around artificial intelligence in cinema were already growing, and Disney wanted to avoid controversy.
