Amazon MGM Studios has just unveiled the trailer of their upcoming film, ‘Nishaanchi’. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the movie seems to be a classic desi masala entertainer.
At the heart of ‘Nishaanchi’ is the story of twin brothers, Babloo and Dabloo. Despite their identical appearance, their personalities and beliefs are complete opposite.

The challenge of bringing these contrasting characters to life falls on debutant actor Aaishvary Thackeray, who plays both roles. Alongside him, the film features Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra.
Speaking about the film, Anurag Kashyap shared his enthusiasm: “’Nishaanchi’ is a story I’ve carried with me for years. It’s my most cinematic work yet. It comes with a classic storyline that combines emotion, betrayal, and action. Everything I loved growing up in Hindi cinema. Working with Amazon MGM Studios India was incredible. They trusted my vision completely.”

Kashyap also praised his cast and crew, saying, “Aaishvary, Vedika, Monika, Zeeshan, Kumud, and every actor didn’t just act. They truly became their characters. Our crew matched that energy frame by frame. Even the music reflects the emotions of the story. I am confident that audiences will connect deeply with both the film and its soundtrack.”
For Aaishvary Thackeray, this project is extra special. “’Nishaanchi’ will always have a special place in my heart, not just because it’s my first film, but because it pushed me to explore so many sides of myself. Playing twins who are complete opposites was challenging emotionally and physically. It was a learning experience. I’ll never forget this,” he said.
Thackeray also spoke about his involvement in the film’s music. He added, “Acting and music are like Babloo and Dabloo, two sides of me that balance each other. Contributing to the music while acting in such a complex story made the journey even more meaningful. With Anurag sir guiding me, I discovered something new in every scene and every note. I’m excited and nervous to finally share this world with the audience.”
‘Mark your calendars:’ ‘Nishaanchi’ is going to hit theaters on September 19.
