‘Lokah Chapter 2’ teaser reveals Tovino Thomas as the ultimate hero
The short teaser didn’t give away much about the story but showed a funny exchange between Dulquer Salmaan and Tovino. Dulquer was earlier introduced as Odiyan.
The makers expressed deep regret for the dialogue, calling it an “oversight” that unintentionally hurt the sentiments of people from Karnataka.

The recently released Malayalam film ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ has found itself in hot water over a dialogue that upset audiences in Karnataka. Several viewers felt that a line in the movie painted Bengaluru in a negative light. According to them, it portrayed the city as a “hub of parties and drugs,” while also reportedly demeaning women from the region.
Responding to the backlash, Dulquer Salmaan’s production house, Wayfarer Films, issued a public apology on Instagram. The makers expressed deep regret for the dialogue. They called it an “oversight” that unintentionally hurt the sentiments of people from Karnataka.

They also assured the audience that they will remove or edit the offending line from the film.

The official statement read, “It has come to our attention that a dialogue delivered by one of the characters in our film ‘Lokah: Chapter One’ has unintentionally hurt the sentiments of people from Karnataka. At Wayfarer Films, we place people above everything else. We deeply regret this oversight and assure you that no offence was intended. The dialogue in question will be removed/edited at the earliest. We sincerely apologise for the hurt caused and humbly request you to accept our apology.”
Actor Sandy reportedly delivered the controversial line. He plays the antagonist, Inspector Nachiyappa Gowda.
Directed and written by Dominic Arun, ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ features Kalyani Priyadarshan as a superhero in the lead role. The film also stars Naslen, Chandu Salimkumar, Arun Kurian, and Sandy in key roles.
