The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday rejected the petitions of Samajwadi Party leader and former MLA Abdullah Azam in the fake passport and PAN card cases.
The single bench of Justice Sameer Jain rejected both the petitions. The court had reserved the decision after hearing the arguments of both the parties on July 1.

Now the trial in this case will continue in Rampur’s MP MLA Court.
Abdullah Azam had filed two petitions in two different cases in Allahabad High Court. The first case is related to the fake passport of Abdullah Azam Khan and the second case was related to the making of two PAN cards of his.
BJP MLA Akash Saxena had filed a case against Abdullah Azam Khan in Civil Lines police station of Rampur on July 30, 2019 under sections of fraud and Passport Act. In the second case, BJP leader Akash Saxena had filed an FIR against Abdullah Azam Khan and SP leader Azam Khan in Civil Lines police station of Rampur on December 6,2019 in the case of having two PAN cards.
Trial is going on in the MP-MLA court in both the cases registered against Abdullah.
Today Allahabad High Court rejected both his petitions, and has asked the trial court to complete the trial soon.
Although Abdullah Azam is out of jail, but he filed a petition in Allahabad High Court to cancel the entire action going on against him in both the cases underway in the trial court.
Meanwhile, in another case, the Allahabad High Court has ordered release of Samajwadi Party MLA from Bhadohi, Zahid Jamal Beg on bail.
Justice Sameer Jain ordered release of the SP MLA on bail.
Earlier, the court had reserved the decision on the bail application of SP MLA Zahid Beg, who is in jail in the case of bonded labor and human trafficking.
His wife Seema Beg has also got anticipatory bail from the court a few days ago. In the case of the death of the maid, several cases, including abetment to suicide, bonded labor and human trafficking, were registered against the MLA, his wife and son.
