Hiten Tejwani on reuniting with Smriti Irani for ‘Kyunki’: “Good vibes on the set again”

Hiten Tejwani reunites with Smriti Irani: TV fans, get ready for a wave of nostalgia! The iconic family drama ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ is making a grand comeback with Season 2, and actor Hiten Tejwani is just as excited as the audience.

In a recent conversation with IANS, Hiten Tejwani opened up about reuniting with the original team, especially Smriti Irani, and returning to a show that once ruled Indian television. The actor said the experience feels both emotional and thrilling.

“It feels amazing to be back,” Hiten shared. “I never imagined ‘Kyunki’ would return after 25 years. But here we are. I’m thankful to Ekta Kapoor, Balaji Telefilms, and the entire team for bringing this show back to life. The audience has so much love for this show, and that’s why we’re doing this again. It’s like bringing the same family together to recreate that old magic.”

Hiten, who was part of the original cast, is joining Smriti Irani once again. Smriti played the much-loved role of Tulsi Virani and will be returning to that character in the new season. Hiten couldn’t stop praising her. “It’s wonderful working with Smriti again. She has always been a thorough professional. The atmosphere on set is very positive. We’re all having a great time.”

But that’s not all. Hiten’s wife, Gauri Pradhan, is also part of the show. For him, acting alongside his wife in such a big project adds to the joy. “It’s always lovely to work with Gauri,” he said. “We’re all coming together for a show that means so much to all of us.”

Hiten mentioned that they’ve been receiving a lot of support from viewers who are happy to see the characters back on screen. “People are sending us messages, saying they’re glad we’re returning. We’re just as excited as they are to see how they react when the show airs.”

The new season of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ is all ready to premiere on July 29 on Star Plus. The show will feature the return of Smriti Irani as Tulsi and Amar Upadhyay as Mihir, two of the most iconic characters in Indian TV history.

Along with Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan, the cast also includes Shakti Anand, Kamalika Guha Thakurta, Shagun Sharma, Rohit Suchanti, Aman Gandhi, Ankit Bhatia, and Tanisha Mehta.
