A dreaded sharpshooter of the Sanjeev Jeeva gang was killed in an encounter with Uttar Pradesh STF on Monday morning.
ADG ( Law and Order) and Chief of STF Amitabh Yash said that STF Field Unit Meerut arrested Shahrukh Pathan in an injured condition during an encounter under the Muzaffarnagar police station. The criminal was rushed to the hospital for treatment, where he was declared dead by the doctors.

The ADG said Shahrukh Pathan, a native of Muzaffarnagar, was a sharpshooter of Muzaffarnagar Sanjeev Jeeva Gang, who had been accused in more than half a dozen cases of murder and extortion. Shahrukh was also associated with the late Mukhtar Ansari gang.

The STF has recovered a 30mm pistol, a 32 mm revolver, and 9 mm country-made pistols with a huge quantity of live cartridges from the possession of the criminal.
Presently, Shahrukh was on bail, but was threatening witnesses in his criminal cases.
