The BCCI said that the inclusion of Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and batsman KL Rahul in the squad is subject to the medical team’s clearance for their level of fitness. Both players were absent during the second test against England in Vizag.

Shreyas Iyer, who batted at No. 4 in the second test against England, will not be included in the team for the remainder of the test series due to back pain.
With the third test to be played in Rajkot on February 15, the last two tests are scheduled for February 23 in Ranchi and March 7 in Dharamshala.
