At least 28 people were killed after an airstrike hit Afghanistan’s Faryab province, a military source said on Sunday.

Hanif Rezai, spokesman of army Corps 209 Shaheen said, “Based on a confirmed tip-off, an Afghan Air Force A-29 aircraft targeted a Taliban hideout in Bilchiragh district, Faryab province that killed 28 armed Taliban”.

The targeted militants were planning attacks against security forces.
