According to officials, the explosion in the forward Kalal area of Rajouri's Nowshera sector was caused by accidental activation of a landmine during an area domination patrol by the Army.
The Army has also discontinued the use of certain archaic terminology, including "Royal", which remained part of traditions inherited from the colonial period.
