Jammu and Kashmir: Army’s rescue operation in flood-hit Rajouri saves 11 civilians
Among the 11 rescued persons, five were children. They were stranded at different places in the flood-affected district following incessant rainfall.

Two terrorists were killed on Wednesday in an encounter with security forces in Munawara area of Khanabal in Anantnag district.
Army spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said the encounter broke out in the morning and the two terrorists who were holed up were neutralised.

Police said identity of the killed terrorists was being established, adding that a large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from them.

According to the police, security forces launched a cordon and search operation at Muniward village in Anantnag district early Wednesday morning following specific information about the presence of militants there.
The encounter started when the militants opened fire on the forces and the latter retaliated.
