Man axed to death by wife, four others in UP

A 35-year-old man was killed allegedly by his wife and four others in Murawanpurva village under Visheshwarganj police station area here.

The victim, Ramdev Maurya who was suspicious of his wife Devi having extra-marital relations and had planned to give his property to his brother, had a fight with his wife on Monday after which she, along with four others, axed him to death, SP Jugal Kishore said on Tuesday.

The brother of the deceased has lodged a case against five persons of which one has been arrested while the efforts are on to nab the victim’s wife, the SP said, adding that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
