Born in Sierra Leone, the 6'1 midfielder was at Fulham’s academy before switching to Chelsea’s youth setup in 2005. Chalobah made his senior debut for Chelsea in the 2016-17 season after spending loan spells with notably, Watford, Burnley and Napoli, among others.

The Blues had reportedly offered him a contract extension but the lure of playing regular football under new manger Marco Silva proved to be telling in the end as he departed Stamford Bridge having played for the first-team just 10 times.
