A Trinamool Congress block president was shot dead and two others were injured inside a party office at Bagula in Nadia district by a gang of gunmen this evening, police said.
Dulal Biswas (52), Hanskhali block Trinamool Congress president and Bagula gram panchayat pradhan, was inside Bagula party office holding a meeting.
At around 8 PM, a gang of gunmen barged into the party office, fired at Biswas and fled, police said.

When he was taken to a hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.
Two other injured persons were hospitalised, police said.
District Trinamool president Ujwal Biswas alleged that BJP and CPI(M) were behind the murder.
