The RI of police lines of Meerut has been suspended by the SSP Manjil Saini on charges of harassment of a female recruit.
The Female recruit who has been undergoing training in the Police lines of Meerut had approached the SSP with her complaint a fortnight before . In her complaint she told the SSP that RI Satya Prakash Sharma has been harassing her . He makes her fractic calls and uses indecent language on telephone, the recruit told the SSP also producing a recording in which the RI was begging sorry from her when she threatened to complain the matter to the superiors.
When the charges were proved the SSP had removed the RI from the post and sent the letter to the IG in which she had also recommended for the remaining training of the recruit in some other district.
Saini had issued a misconduct against RI Sharma and also suggested for a district level probe in the matter. He was however suspended on Tuesday on the directions of the head quarter as he was found guilty of the charges, the SSP confirmed .
