During her stay, President Murmu will hold bilateral talks with President Lourenco, attend the 50th anniversary celebrations of Angola’s independence, address the Angolan Parliament, and interact with members of the Indian community. The visit reflects India’s growing engagement with African nations and its commitment to strengthening ties with the Global South.

President Murmu’s visit to Angola is part of her two-nation tour, which will also include a visit to Botswana from November 11 to 13. The visit is expected to further strengthen India-Angola bilateral cooperation and explore new avenues for partnership in sectors such as energy, trade, investment, technology, and defence.
