The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) today announced that several senior members of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence have been eliminated under the country’s military operation codenamed ‘Operation Roaring Lion.’

In a statement posted on social media, the IDF stated Sayed Yahya Hamidi, the Deputy Minister of Intelligence for ‘Israel Affairs,’ was among those killed. According to the Israeli military, Hamidi led terrorist activities targeting Jewish individuals, Western interests, and opponents in Iran and abroad.

The IDF also said that Jalal Pour Hossein, the head of the Espionage Division, was killed in the strike.

Israeli officials said the operation was guided by “precise IDF intelligence” and resulted in the elimination of more senior officials. However, other names were not disclosed.

Also, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) today carried out strikes across southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern Dahiyeh district. The IDF stated that the strikes targeted Hezbollah positions in retaliation for a rocket barrage fired by the Iranian-backed group toward northern Israel. “The Air Force struck a short time ago in a targeted manner, senior terrorists from the Hezbollah terror organization in the Beirut area. In parallel, the IDF struck a central terrorist from the Hezbollah terror organization in southern Lebanon,” the Israeli Air Force said.
