Germany on Friday stunned the nine-time Olympic champions Canada 4-3 in the semi-final of men’s ice hockey in Pyeongchang and a final showdown against Russia.

Enveloped in the thrill of winning the game, Germany took the trolling on another level. The German Foreign Office issued a hilarious travel advisory to its citizens and asked them to hug the Canadians.

“Travel advisory: Germans in Canada should exercise a high degree of empathy. Be nice, don’t gloat, give hugs, buy rounds of hot chocolate. Just imagine how you would feel if Canada beat us in soccer!,” tweeted the German Foreign Office.

Canada too donned its creative hat and handed out a witty response.

“Thanks @GermanyDiplo. Congrats on your first shot at gold! We remember our first gold medal match in #IceHockey like it was yesterday… 1920 to be exact. #PyeongChang2018,” tweeted Foreign Policy CAN from its official account.
