Technicolor-owned television brand Thomson, which made its re-entry into India earlier this year with a Smart TV range, has introduced My Wall UI to its 32″ and 40″ television sets.
According to a statement issued by the company, its Smart TV line-up with the new feature will be available on Flipkart from 14 June noon.
The new feature packs in a number of applications, content and a redesigned home screen.
The My Wall UI displays Bollywood videos and trending music on the home screen, and also has a dedicated icon for cricket lovers. It also allows users to order from apps like Big basket and Zomato while watching videos or movies.
‘My Wall’ also has region specific app content and plays radio stations, local TV channels as well as genre-specific songs.
The company is also set to announce by 21 June the upcoming basic models to be sold on Flipkart.
Talking about this new UI and its adaptability for the Indian consumer, Avneet Singh Marwah, CEO, SPPL, Exclusive Brand Licensee of Thomson India, said, “My Wall will give a completely new user experience to our customers and provides a very user friendly interface. This new Pro series comes as promise to our customers that we will continue making products with the best of technology. “
It is however, not clear if Thomson will be updating its existing and already sold variants of the 32-inch and 40-inch Android Smart TVs.
