Reddy, backed by the Congress-led I.N.D.I.A. bloc, is pitted against the BJP-led NDA’s nominee and Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan.
Reddy's meetings in New Delhi are part of his broader outreach efforts. Earlier, he visited Chennai on August 21 to meet with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru M K Stalin and DMK MPs.
The polling for the Vice-Presidential Election will take place on September 9 in the Parliament House.
As per a release issued by the office of the returning officer, the accepted candidates whose nominations were found valid include C P Radhakrishnan, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate and current Governor of Maharashtra, and Buchireddy Sudershan Reddy, the Opposition's candidate and a former Supreme Court judge.
