In a statement issued here, the Army spokesperson stated that various Record Offices, Banks, Police, MSMEs, and Government Welfare Agencies, including DIAV, AWPO, ECHS, and Zila Sainik Boards, had established help desks to assist ex-servicemen in grievance redressal, documentation updates, pension-related queries, and employment opportunities.
During her visit on Friday, Mrs. Dwivedi shared important information on government grants, financial assistance, and a wide range of support systems available to the families of armed forces personnel.
More than 1100 defence veterans and family pensioners from Thiruvananthapuram and nearby districts attended the programme, which was inaugurated by Governor of Kerala Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar.
With an aim of honouring the sacrifices and valour of Veer Naris and Veterans, the Indian Army conducted ‘Gaurav Yatra’, a motorcycle rally, covering over 1000 kilometres.
