Stopping short of decrying the induction of defecting AIADMK legislators on their resignation of their posts into the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) as horse trading, the VCK and CPI(M) allies of the government on Tuesday warned that such a move would not augur well for healthy politics besides undermining the credibility of the new dispensation under Chief Minister Vijay.
The VCK and the League also took a dig at the DMK for allegedly attempting to form a government in alliance with the AIADMK, disregarding the mandate in favour of actor-politician Vijay, whose TVK emerged as the single largest party.
The VCK and the Left parties, fellow travellers with the DMK for long like the Congress, are also apprehensive that their share of seats, instead of being hiked this time, might be reduced from that of the last time to accommodate the DMDK and a few minor parties expected to join the alliance.
