Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that priority will be given to senior citizens, i.e. people over the age 60 and those above 45 years with co-morbidities at 10,000 government and over 20,000 private vaccination centres.
The order was announced in a gazette notification on Wednesday and it amended the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules to include ‘films and audiovisual programmes made available by online content providers’ and ‘news and current affairs content on online platforms’ under the purview of the I&B Ministry headed by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.
