Adani Group has planned to invest Rs 20,000 crore in setting up a super critical thermal power plant in Bihar. The development comes amid its plans for expands its cement, food processing and logistics business in the state.
The coal stocks at domestic coal-based Thermal Power Plants is currently at 44.46 million tonnes (MT) which is sufficient to meet the requirements for 18.5 days as per the present level of consumption, the Ministry of Coal said on Monday.
The stocks are sufficient to meet the requirement of 19 days. During the month of May 2024, the average daily depletion at the thermal power plant end has been only 10,000 tonnes per day.
Addressing a public rally after the inauguration, the PM said BJP has resumed the development projects in the state that were previously stalled by UPA government.
