The Supreme Court on Wednesday strongly deprecated the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s storming into premises of the Pratik Jain – the co-founder of political consultancy firm I-PAC – when the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was carrying out searches on January 8, this year, observing that such conduct by a constitutional functionary has the potential to undermine democratic processes.
