A fresh political controversy has erupted in Jharkhand after the State Finance Department flagged alleged treasury irregularities involving salary withdrawals in Hazaribag and Bokaro, triggering a sharp exchange between the BJP and the Congress.
The state finance department today in a notification issued in connection with the 9 July strike called by Leftist trade unions, asked all the government employees to make themselves available mandatory in offices as there would be no casual or any other leaves to be granted on that day.
Previously, the grade pay was Rs 2,600, which was raised to Rs 3200; State now trying to increase it to Rs 3,600.
