Previously, this benefit was limited to properties worth up to ₹10 lakh, with a maximum exemption of ₹10,000. With the revised policy, the exemption extends to properties valued up to ₹1 crore, offering substantial financial relief to women homebuyers.
CM Yogi has also directed the reduction of the stamp registration fee for rent agreements of residential, non-residential, and commercial properties. He suggested creating different brackets for this and simplifying the agreement process.
In the current budget 2022-23, the CM had announced this exemption on the stamp duty units.
