During the inspection, Shekhawat directed to expedite the STP works in Delhi, keeping in mind the December 2022 timeline.
“We will not tolerate this. I have instructed my officials to ensure this does not happen. It has also been conveyed to the state government. We have warned the state not to resort to such tactics as the Centre will then find it difficult to extend its cooperation in running such schemes.”
The conference was organised by the Global Counter Terrorism Council in partnership with multiple agencies, including the Central Water Commission and the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage.
Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa assured the state will take steps to accelerate the implementation pace of JJM and provide tap water supply to the remaining 61.05 lakh households in Karnataka by 2023.
