Yadav pledged to revive the “Samajwadi Pension,” a welfare initiative from previous Samajwadi Party governments that provided financial support to economically weaker sections, including women.
Polling has begun in Rampur and Azamgarh Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, where by-elections are being held on these two constituencies.
The violence took place during a protest against the three farm laws which the Union government subsequently withdrew ahead of the 2022 Assembly polls.
"We carried the bicycles on our shoulders and crossed the new expressway and inaugurated the project," he said.

According to the FIR, it is alleged that the accused befriended a woman after changing his name and raped her on the pretext of marriage by giving her sedatives. The woman has also accused the MLA's wife and daughter of assaulting her.
The name of SP MP Jaya Bachchan, meanwhile, is missing from the list.
