Balasore incident: Odisha govt directs DEOs to enforce ICC formation, ensure safe environment in schools

Taking cognizance of the recent suicide of a female student over sexual harassment in a college in Balasore, an incident that has snowballed into a major controversy, the School and Mass Education Department of the State Government has asked the district authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of women employees at workplaces and create a secure environment for students, especially girls, in schools.
