The court stated that the allotment is valid as on date and has not been cancelled, nor declared illegal or arbitrary.
On this occasion, Supreme Court Judges Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice Augustine George Masih, along with the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Sheel Nagu, and all judges of the High Court will also be present.
Ram Rahim is currently serving a 20-year jail term for the rape of his two disciples.
Now, a selection of the state DGP will be done by a committee headed by a retired chief justice or a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The note attached to the cause list of cases issued for Monday by the Punjab and Haryana HC read, 'It is for the information of respected members of the Bar that Hon'ble Justice S Muralidhar has requested that they may try and avoid addressing him as 'your lordship' or 'my lord'.'
