Addressing a media briefing in the national capital, MEA Secretary (East) P Kumaran highlighted the steady expansion of bilateral defence ties, particularly in the areas of artillery systems, air defence and emerging technologies.
Secretary (East), P Kumaran represented India at the ASEAN Regional Forum Senior Officials’ Meeting (ARF SOM) in Penang, Malaysia, the current ASEAN Chair.
Kumaran was addressing the gathering at the inaugural session of the Industry Outreach Programme, on the fourth day of the 41st Steering Committee Meeting of the International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy (IPHE) in New Delhi.
According to the sources, India's Ambassador to Qatar will also attend the signing of the landmark peace deal between the US and the Afghan Taliban in Doha.
