Commissioner Ashwani Kumar tabled the proposals before the Standing Committee, outlining strengthened revenue mechanisms and major administrative reforms.
The Budget, with an outlay of Rs 3.01 lakh crore is 23 per cent higher than the previous year, showed a surplus of Rs 916.87 crore.
Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said the focus in the first year will be on fixing of deteriorating fiscal health, delivering on the promises of good governance and concentrating on health, agriculture and education.
