Meanwhile, speculation intensified after RJD’s de facto chief Tejashwi Yadav returned from Delhi without meeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, fuelling rumours that Nitish Kumar might switch sides again.
Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief Upendra Kushwaha has issued an emotional appeal to his supporters after the NDA announced its seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, in which his party has been allocated only six seats.
The announcement follows a series of back-to-back meetings in New Delhi attended by senior alliance leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda, to finalise the seat distribution and shortlist candidates.
As per reports, the BJP and JD(U) are together expected to contest on around 200 to 203 seats of the total 243, while the remaining three allies would together contest on 40 to 42 seats. Further, Chirag Paswan's LJP (Ram Vilas) is likely to be allotted 26 seats, Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) eight, and Upendra Kushwaha's RLM six.
