From the NDA, seven BJP candidates and one RLD candidate are contesting on these seats.

The move has triggered strong protests from the JD-U with chief minister Nitish Kumar himself leading the charge.

Political pundits are saying that the Saturday's by-elections are the acid test for both national parties and the opposition parties as well while the local parties, which have fielded candidates in all the nine seats, might divide the vote share of the main challengers.
"New developments in niche technologies are transforming the very character of war ...Therefore it is very important that you keep yourself abreast of these changes through regular professional education," Naravane added.
Bihar assembly election 2020 was contested without Lalu Prasad as he was serving a jail term in the fodder scam. Now in the by-election, he is out on bail and the RJD has announced his entry into the election campaign with a bang for these two seats.
