US, Mexico, Canada finalize trade deal

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that she expected the final language of the US-Mexico Canada Agreement to be set by Tuesday, which would bring Democrats to a “moment of truth” on whether to proceed to passage.

A waiver to woo~I

It is not loan waivers but their consequences that are of real concern. They do help some farmers, but only in the short term. They invariably fall back to debt soon again, because the waivers do nothing to address the deep-rooted structural problems of agriculture in India which cause such indebtedness in the first place.

If India were to stay out, the BRI will inevitably be a uniquely Chinese project…of, by and for China. It is imperative, both for India's national interest and the time-honoured concept of 'balance of power', that an initiative with such massive potential as the BRI is not allowed to be dictated by one country.
