The arrival follows the recent safe docking of two Indian-flagged LPG carriers, Shivalik and Nanda Devi, which transported around 92,712 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas. Both vessels crossed the Strait of Hormuz safely and reached India on March 16 and 17, respectively.
With these approvals, the company will be able to nearly double capacity to 514 million tonnes.
Acting on intelligence regarding the smuggling of heroin from UAE to Punjab, Punjab Police teams, in a joint operation with ATS Gujarat and Central Agencies, recovered the contraband at the Gujarat port.
Surjewala told newspersons that “we had seen heroin was caught from Adani Mundra port in Gujarat but the same company citing the same product had imported drugs in June this year. It is the biggest drug haul in the world.”
