SAIL runs a dedicated mini rail network within its plants and mines premises to ensure seamless transportation of inbound raw materials, in-process transfers and outbound finished products.
The MoU aims to strengthen multilateral cooperation in skill development, vocational education, and training, it said.
The MoU was signed at a meeting held at the Delhi Secretariat, chaired by the Chief Minister, between Reserve Bank of India and Bipul Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) of the Delhi Government.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Jharkhand Secretariat.
Under the agreement, signed in Tokyo by the Meghalaya State Skill Development Society (MSSDS), 500 candidates will be trained and placed in Japan in the first year, with the target increasing to 5,000 over the next five years.
These two MoUs comprise one with Pfizer Limited and another with ICICI Bank.
