CSK batting coach Mike Hussey has raised concerns over Ayush Mhatre’s hamstring injury, saying it “looks pretty bad” after the young batter was forced off during the chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Hussey, a left-handed batter, played 79 Tests and scored over 6000 runs, in addition to 185 ODIs and 35 T20Is for Australia. In Tests, the 46-year-old averaged 51.52, while in ODIs, he scored over 5.400 runs at an average of 48.15.
The former Australia batsman further said Rohit Sharma has the skills to excel at the top of the order and believes the star Indian opener will be successful in the four-match Test series currently scheduled to be played in December and January.
Hussey, who played Test cricket for Australia from 2005 to 2013, picked the Best XI of opponents he has played against in Test cricket on "The Unplayable Podcast".
The series starts on December 6 in Adelaide.
