The Indian stock market on Monday extended its losses for the second consecutive session, with the Sensex slipping over 250 points and the Nifty falling below the 25,000 mark.
At close, Sensex was down 200.15 points or 0.24 per cent at 82,330.59, and the Nifty was down 42.30 points or 0.17 per cent at 25,019.80.
Benchmark indices failed to build on the opening gains to end marginally higher on Wednesday in the highly volatile market.
At close, the Sensex rose 70.01 points or 0.09% to 80,288.38, while the Nifty edged up 7.45 points or 0.03% to settle at 24,335.95.
Sensex closed the day at 79,408.50, up 855 points, or 1.09%, while the Nifty 50 ended at 24,125.55, up 274 points, or 1.15%.
Stock Market staged a strong rebound, snapping a three-day losing streak with Nifty 50 closing above 22,500 as across-the-board buying revived sentiment, in-line with the rally across Asian markets and Europe.
At close, the Sensex was up 32.81 points or 0.04% at 78,017.19, and the Nifty was up 10.30 points or 0.04% at 23,668.65.
Indian Stock Market ended lower in a volatile session on Thursday with Nifty slipping below 22,400. The development comes despite positive cues from industrial production and retail inflation data.
At close, Sensex declined 0.1%, or 72.56 points, to settle at 74,029.76, while the Nifty slipped 0.12%, or 27.4 points, to 22,470.5.
At close, the Sensex was down 12.85 points or 0.02% at 74,102.32, and the Nifty was up 37.60 points or 0.17% at 22,497.90.
