President Murmu is likely to travel to BJP leader LK Advani' residence to confer the prestigious award.
CM Yogi underscored Advani's pivotal role not just as a founding member of the BJP but also as a guiding light for countless party workers in India and beyond.
Advani will be conferred with Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour.
Former Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu called on Advani at his residence to extend his birthday wishes.
A day after a historic sweep in the Lok Sabha elections that brought the BJP-led NDA government to power a second time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday credited party veteran LK Advani for the win.
“It's such a wonderful feeling that in a country as large and diverse as India, electoral process has been so successfully completed and for that, my compliments to the electorate and all the agencies involved. May our great nation be blessed with a bright future ahead,” said Advani.
The former Union finance minister also dismissed as a non-issue the controversy over the alleged misuse of INS Viraat by former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
The meeting comes days after Advani and Joshi were denied tickets by the party for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Last month, Advani’s Gandhinagar constituency in Gujarat was snatched away, leaving him humiliated.
