Jharkhand’s senior IAS officer and current principal secretary of Panchayati Raj Department Vinay Kumar Choubey was arrested on Tuesday by the state Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with the high-profile liquor scam.
She, however, agreed to appear before the probe agency virtually provided it sends particulars and timings beforehand citing her busy schedule in the wake of the upcoming Parliamentary elections.
Delhi BJP president Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva pointed out that the Supreme Court hinted that at money trail of Rs 338 crore has been established in the case.
Today, in her letter to the CBI, Kavitha wrote she went through the complaint and the FIR lodged by the agency. “I wish to place on record that my name does not figure in any manner whatsoever,” she wrote.
The bench also issued notice to 5 channels impleaded by Vijay Nair. He alleged that the sensitive information related is being leaked to the media.
