The start of services follows the airport’s inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the approval of the Aerodrome Security Program (ASP) by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.
The airport has already been granted an aerodrome licence by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), a key requirements for starting commercial flight operations.
